A thoughtful classroom starts with good questions.

Use the thesis and lesson guides, then shape a safe learning plan around the students in front of you. Downloadable material is independent educational research, not engineering drawings or certified operating instructions.

LEARNING DESIGN

How to teach a research question without overclaiming

01

Start with a measurable hypothesis

Ask what observation could show the idea is incorrect. Identify forces, materials and environmental assumptions.

02

Model before making

Use simple calculations and simulations to understand what the model includes—and what it leaves out.

03

Use a safe activity

Choose drawings, public data, classroom float models, or a low-energy balloon hovercraft with adult supervision.

04

Preserve raw evidence

Record units, instrument limits, repeated observations, and changes to your setup.

05

Discuss multiple explanations

Ask if friction, timing, temperature, mass or surface shape could explain a surprising result.

06

Publish with accurate labels

Use “proposed,” “calculated,” “observed,” “established” or “speculative.” These labels describe different kinds of evidence.

Information for families and educators

Is this a school-accredited program?

No. These modules provide learning content and local self-checks only. College credit, professional certification or state licensing is not claimed.

How do progress and notes work?

Course checks and Aurora notebook entries are stored on the learner's own browser/device. Clearing browser data may erase them. Aurora notebook entries can be exported as JSON. No account or personal-name collection is required here.

How does the Captain J3 voice assistant work?

Merlin selects answers from a curated local course knowledge base. Spoken text is synthesized by the visitor's browser/device when the visitor presses play or activates voice. Voice quality and the number of distinct human-like voices vary by device. Nothing records or imitates real family members.

Can lessons be used without sound?

Yes. Every lesson has written explanations. All speech is optional. On mobile, the assistant stays in a small corner dock and motion is reduced. The browser's reduced-motion settings are respected.

What are the most important safety limits?

These student resources do not authorize any human rider, powered high-speed rotor, high-energy magnet, hydrogen system, pressure hull, water-submersion of electronics, aircraft flight or medical-use experiment. Formal engineering trials require appropriate expertise and independent risk review.
